A physical extension of our approach to learning, every aspect of the nursery has been designed with children in mind

The free-flowing nature of the nursery allows the children to literally steer their learning in any direction they wish to take. Whether they’re growing vegetables for their snack time, creating their own projects in our outdoor tinkering and making space, adventuring in the garden or quietly enjoying a story – we will be with them every step of the way, full partners in their learning adventure.

Full and Part Time places are bookable for the children (birth–5 years) of WBD Staff, Leavesden based productions and a limited number of spaces are open to the local community.

Full Day Care Sessions 8am-6pm- fully inclusive of meals, trips and activities.

*Production & WBD families can request an extended day 7am-7pm, but these places can be in high demand.

Nursery Places are usually in very high demand. Especially for younger children and babies. For live, up to date availability in the nursery please contact us using the enquiry form. If we are unable to confirm a place we may suggest you join our waiting list.

Moving between rooms- Transitions at Our Nursery

Transitions between rooms are carefully planned with your child’s wellbeing at the centre of our decision making. We work closely with families to explore what this journey will look like for each individual child.

There are opportunities for both children and their families to attend settling sessions, visit their new room, and meet the team before the move.

Moving to school- When It’s Time to Say Goodbye

As your child prepares to leave us for school, we work closely with their new setting to ensure a smooth transition. This includes arranging visits from teachers and sharing information to support their care, learning, and development as they take this exciting next step in their journey.

Our Nursery spaces and rooms

Our 56-place nursery at Leavesden is thoughtfully spread across three rooms, each offering a bespoke environment tailored to the age and developmental stage of the children learning and playing there.

While all rooms follow The WonderWorks Approach, the way this looks will vary-reflected in the resources, teaching methods, and learning experiences our educators provide to best support each unique age group. when it is time for your child to move into their new room we will be on hand to introduce your new Key Person, the other members of the team and the kit list you may need to provide.
